Hello Love,

I am Kelley and I specialize in helping homesteaders create their dream life. A homesteader is unique by trade in that they typically have different goals than your average person on the street. What you envision is probably vastly different than the hectic life of a stock trader in NYC. They value a slower paced life and things wrought from the earth and created with bare hands. However, the gap between your current state of affairs and your dream might be equivalent to the Grand Canyon. The steps to get the fulfilling life you desire is simple and can start right now. Use these 5 steps for a dream homestead.

1. Gratitude

This may sound like a “duh” kind of moment but when was the last time you truly reflected on how grateful you were for even the simplest things in life?

At the time of waking up if you think of 3 things that you are grateful for, it will focus the mind on positivity.

Even in the most difficult times you can think of one thing that you are grateful for. If you are homeless, food sensitive, in poor health, and if you are reading this article, you can be grateful for the internet and the ability to use it. Be grateful for the water you drink, your hands that can hold that glass, family, friends, loved ones, the smiling cashier at the Dollar General. It can be big or small but finding any moment that brings you into a state of gratitude is going to raise your vibration. We are all made of energy and that energy vibrates on different wavelengths. In the law of attraction, we attract what we are an energetic match for. Therefore, if you are focused on the fact that the prices went up in the store and feel low, disheartened, and negative, you might miss the bright smiling face of the cashier and she might feel your energy and choose not to speak up about the special week discount you could receive or something else. You might just miss out on her bright cheery face. In fact, your energy may effect her and spread like ripples in a pond. Your vibration and energy will attract its own kind. Gratitude for what you already have will start to attract more of the like, more of what you see, and more of what you desire.

2. Declutter

Decluttering can be therapeutic. It creates an energetic shift that tells the universe that you are making space for what you desire in life and puts you in a position to receive. Negatives things are just stuck energy.

By moving out the negative you are creating a vacuum that the universe will quickly fill with more of what you want to attract.

You can declutter your physical environment or your mental state. If you yearn to have a big garden to feed your family but don’t have a yard, start by decluttering a space by a sunny window or patio. Not only will your home be cleaner and neater, but you will be more likely to take steps to starting seeds for window herb garden. If you feel stuck mentally, you can declutter your mind by doing a brain dump on paper by listing all the things that are on your mind. Clearing a space physically can help alleviate mental clutter naturally. Want to manifest more money to fund your new homestead move? Declutter your workspace and create a vacuum for new ideas and opportunities to create that income.

3. Learn to Receive

Do you ever get a compliment and dodge it by making excuses as to why you shouldn’t receive that compliment? How about if someone says, “I love your shoes!” Do you retort “Oh these old things. I got them for $5 at the thrift store” or say “I love yours too!”. These are two ways to block receiving in your life. If you walk around grateful for what you have and create a vacuum for new things, you will not accept these new positive things the universe wants to bless you with unless you master the art of receiving!

Practice receiving in small ways now.

Next time the universe gives you a gift, say Thank you. Be open to the gifts and grateful for them. You will find the more you open to them, the more you receive.

4. Visualize

It is important to visualize, in detail, how you want your homestead to be. A vision board is an old standby for manifesting but gone are the days of clipping pictures out of old magazines. You can create an electronic vision board to be the background on a phone or computer or whatever you look at the most. Think about how many times a day you open your phone. Imagine being reminded of your vision and focusing back on it each one of those times?

Now just putting up a vision board and looking at it aren’t enough. You must use all of your senses to bring this to life. How will this home look. Can you see sun peaking over the snowy mountains on the horizon from a post and beam porch. Can you feel the heat of the tea in your hands contrasting with the cold. Is there a woodstove crackling, children laughing, or a dog warming your feet at the end of the bed? Do you hear a rooster crowing, smell the garlic you just harvested on your fingertips. Can you taste the burst of sweetness from the cherry tomato picked right off the vine. What does the paper feel like in your hands as you read to your children on a homeschool day? Does your dream sound like a hammer hitting wood, or a tractor starting up in the spring, feel like sweat on you back? Can you feel the deep joy flowing through you. Where does it start, does is radiate out, feel warm or like energy pulsing? The feeling associated with these visualizations is going to be what attracts your desires the most.

Pay attention to what makes you feel the most abundant. What sparks the most excitement. It is important to get to know these desires and what triggers your happiness.

5. Incremental steps

Up until now you have been working on inner work, which is MOST important when manifesting a dream homestead. After all, if you don’t understand what you truly desire and what brings you joy, how will you build a life that aligns with who you are? But once you have created the mental environment for abundance, it is time to take action!

The quickest way to a big change is small steps.

Now that you’ve defined exactly what makes you tic on a vision board and brought it to life in your mind, start choosing small ways to change your current environment. If your goal is to feed your family all homecooked meals grown from your own garden, but still lack a space to grow, you can start by buying whole foods from farmers and practicing cooking recipes everyone likes. Once you know what you love and like to eat most, you’ll know what to raise or grow on the homestead in the future. Homesteading is creating a home and the rest of the definition is up to you. Most homesteaders like to lead a life of self-sufficiency. But that term still leaves lots of room to define how that will look in your own life. What is important is that you love the life you live.

You might want a big old farmhouse on 100 acres with a view of the mountains. Others may want an efficient 1/2 acre, a tiny house in an intentional living community. The steps to get there will look different for everyone. Want to grow food for a year but haven’t gardened? Practice by creating a small garden space and learning about soil, pests, and plant needs. It’s never too early to acclimatize to the big dream. Just START! Take a sewing class, cook a meal, ferment some cabbage, learn a new skill that will help your future homestead self.

You can also start dressing like the homesteader you imagine you’d like to be. That might mean long paisley skirts, flannels, jeans, straw hats or whatever it looks like to you. The point is to BELIEVE in your vision! Belief is what you know to be true. If you know it to be true that you live a fast paced out of control life eating horrible food, then every time you eat that food or don’t stop to smell the roses, you will REAFFIRM that belief! Start giving yourself PROOF that you are living the homestead dream. Every time you look in the mirror, see the homesteader you are becoming.

Taking incremental steps adds up over time and before you know it, you’ll be right where you want to be, grateful for every step on the way.

Manifesting your Homestead starts right now in this very moment. Follow these 5 steps and let me know what you manifest!

With Love,

Kelley
